Why us

A warm community of families at Sluseholmen where children feel at home and the languages come along by themselves.

Small groups

Up to 10 children per school group and up to 20 in the mini-kindergarten — the teacher sees and hears every child.

Bilingualism is a gift

We support Russian, Danish and English — gently and without pressure.

A warm community

Kids and parents together: Christmas tree, Maslenitsa, Easter and simple Sunday get-togethers.

Experienced teachers

Music, theatre, speech, chess and speech therapy — a team that loves its work and the kids.

How the school works

Five steps from application to Sundays, an honest family account and the rules we work by.

  1. 1
    Application

A form on the website: the child's age, interests, a convenient time. The family cabinet is created at once, the link arrives by e-mail.

    1 minute
  2. 2
    Trial lesson

Come on a Sunday and see the group from the inside. The first lesson is free — there is nothing to pay for.

    free
  3. 3
    Membership

The family becomes a member of the school: a membership fee of 250 kr per child per school year. Parents' chats and the whole community open up.

    250 kr a year
  4. 4
    Enrolment

The child is enrolled in a group: teacher, room, time. From that day the lessons go on the family's account.

    group of up to 10
  5. 5
    Every Sunday

The teacher marks who came, puts files in the group chat, and the account is charged only for lessons that took place.

    on Sundays

A family account without surprises

You put money on the family account, and the school charges for the lessons that took place. No subscriptions and no months that burn.

  • The first top-up is 1250 kr, of which 250 kr is the membership fee per child.
  • A lesson in a group costs 90 kr; from the second subject — 80 kr per lesson.
  • The second and following children of the family — minus 10%.
  • Mini-kindergarten 3–5 — 250 kr per Sunday: 1000 kr in a month with four Sundays, 1250 kr with five.
  • When the account drops below 500 kr, the cabinet reminds you to top up — by transfer or MobilePay.

The rules we keep

Not the small print, but the reason families stay with us year after year.

👥
Groups of up to 10

The teacher sees and hears every child; in the mini-kindergarten — up to 20.

🎓
A teacher with a name

Every teacher has a page with education, experience and approach. You know who you trust your child to.

Marked the same day

Who came is visible to the parent in the cabinet the same day.

🔔
Gave notice — 10%

Can't come and marked it the day before, before midnight — the lesson costs a tenth of the price.

🏖
Holidays without charges

No lessons during holidays — and the account is not touched.

🧾
The account explains every krone

Every line in the family journal is named: for what, when, by whom.

🔒
Children's data stays closed

A child's profile is opened by the parent; contacts are seen only by the school.

What membership gives

Membership is a place in the community, not a subscription.

🏠
Family cabinet

Children, lessons, account and history — in one place, in three languages.

💬
Group chat

The teacher posts files and reminders, parents post photos; all in one group chat.

👪
Community

Parents' chats, school events, classmates' families.

📅
Schedule and calendar

The whole school room by room and the month as a whole: lessons, holidays, birthdays.

📱
MobilePay in one tap

Top up the account from your phone; payment history lives in the cabinet.

What we teach

Languages and speech

Russian, Danish and English. Reading, writing and rich speech — through play and lively conversation.

Music and singing

We sing, listen and feel the rhythm. Music helps language and makes Sunday a celebration.

Visual thinking

We draw, build and invent. We learn to see, notice and express ideas.

Chess

Logic, strategy and thinking one move ahead — from first games to tournaments.

NEW

Sport and movement

New programme: active and team games with a coach — energy channelled the friendly way.

NEW

Theatre and speech

Stage, voice and self-confidence. With Yanina children play drama exercises, stage performances and learn to speak so that others listen — first on stage, then in life.

NEW

Mini-kindergarten

Children aged 3–5 at their own cosy pace: playful development, first words and songs in Russian, creativity and gentle adaptation. Our whole team takes turns with the little ones.

NEW PROGRAMME

Russian, literature and speech therapy

Elena has joined the team — a teacher of Russian language and literature with 27 years' experience, and a speech therapist. She teaches children to truly understand a text and to love reading: through play and creativity, without cramming. She also gives individual speech therapy lessons.

  • Russian language and literature: reading, writing, living speech
  • Speech therapy: individual lessons and pronunciation work
  • Through play and creativity, without cramming

Our team

The people children run to on Sundays.

We are always glad to meet great teachers

The school grows with its people. If you teach and love working with children — tell us about yourself. If you are a parent who knows a wonderful teacher — ask them to apply, or write to us about them. And if you are a parent with experience who has long wanted to teach — that is for us too: many in our team started exactly that way.

Parent reviews

My son looks forward to Sunday all week. His Russian has improved noticeably, and we have found friends among the parents.
Anna · Misha's mum, 7 years old
Settling into the mini-kindergarten went without tears. Our daughter sings Russian songs at home!
Olga · Sofia's mum, 4 years old
The theatre productions are a delight of their own. Small groups, and you can see the attention given to every child.
Dmitrij · Mark's dad, 11 years old
We bring two children five years apart — there is a programme for both of them. The celebrations feel like one big family.
Elena · mum of Alisa and Tim

Reviews from the school's families will appear here. They will be written in Russian.

How old is your child?

What it costs

The first lesson is free.

Estimate a month
≈ 360–450 kr a month

the lower figure is a month with 4 Sundays, the higher one with 5; holidays and absences with notice reduce the amount

+ 250 kr fee per child once a school year

School 6–18 the price is for one single lesson — not per month

Groups of up to 10 children.

Lessons per weekwhen paying monthlywhen paying for 6 monthswhen paying for a year
190 kr80 kr80 kr
2 or more80 kr75 kr75 kr

Example: 1 lesson a week and 4 teaching Sundays in the month — 4 × 90 kr = 360 kr for that month. This is an example, not your invoice: a month can have four teaching Sundays or five.

  • Mini-kindergarten 3–5 — groups of up to 20 children. 250 kr per Sunday: 1000 kr a month when the month has four Sundays and 1250 kr when it has five. During the holidays there is no mini-kindergarten, and those Sundays do not count. No discount for a longer payment period.
  • A second and each further child — −10% of the amount.
  • Annual contribution 250 kr per child — for access to the community and taking part. It covers the school year, September–August, as a separate line, and is paid in full whenever the child starts; on 1 September the contribution for the new year is charged. The sibling discount does not apply to it.
  • The monthly amount depends on how many teaching Sundays there are: during the holidays there are no lessons and you don't pay for them.

One-to-one lessons

Speech therapist and special needs educator: from 450 kr per hour, several times a week if you wish — or a three-month course of one lesson a week for 4999 kr in total. Booking via the administrator. Other one-to-one lessons: the teacher agrees the price and the length of the lesson with you personally.

Courses

Every course has its own price — the teacher sets it. You pay for the whole course, not month by month.

A course has a start and an end: how many weeks it runs is decided by the teacher. Sign-up opens in advance — as for an event.

The sibling discount does not apply to courses. If the child does not come, or leaves in the middle of a course, the school keeps the payment. If the school or the teacher cancels the course, you get all your money back.
